Decor Plan for the Bedroom

This long weekend, I'm excited to put together our bedroom.  Here's what I have planned for the decor:

duvet cover, decorative pillows, headboard, lamp, side table, sheet set, rug

As much as I'd love to get everything new, we aren't starting from scratch - the majority of items are carried over from our previous apartment. The rug we previously had in our old bedroom, and the side tables and lamps are the ones we previously had in our old living room.

The main things that will make this bedroom look different than our last, will be the paint color and the bedding - both of which I think make a significant impact.  For the wall color, we went with navy on the the two main walls, and a light grey on other two walls to keep it from feeling too dark.   As for the bedding we've chosen a beautiful grey border duvet from Crane and Canopy and two new decorative pillows from my shop. I'll be posting peeks on Instagram - I hope you'll follow along!

My Home Tour + Sources

As mentioned in a previous post, earlier this month, Style Me Pretty Living, one of my favorite lifestyle sites, featured a tour of my previous home. Since the feature went up, I've received inquires about the sources of some things, so I thought I'd post a complete list here for anyone else who may also be curious to know. FAQ

Q: The base of my Docksta table gets dirty easily from people resting their feet on it, how do you keep yours clean?

A: Magic Erasers! 

Q: How did you hide the wires and cords of your wall mounted TV in your living room?

A: We used these cable management covers we found on Amazon.  I've also seen similar ones at home improvement stores.

Julia's Living Room

I love seeing our pillows in their new homes. Julia of Gal Meets Glam decorated her living room with our Leopard Velvet and Channels Ebony & Ivory pillows. Love that she started with an inspiration board and made it come to life!

Budget Friendly Source for French Bistro Chairs

If you've followed me for some time, you may know about my obsession with French bistro chairs (just the other day instagrammed this photo).  I always seem to be drawn to spaces incorporating this type of chair and have as a result collected a number of inspirational images:

French bistro chairs tend to be expensive and hard to find (they're often sold just to those in the restaurant industry) so I was delighted to discover a budget-friendly source...Overstock! I don't have any space in my current home for these, but when we get a larger place - perhaps with a breakfast nook or nice outdoor area, I'll be getting some for sure.  A little round-up below:
